Hot Sauce Reviews

In the reviews that follow, the information in brackets indicates where you can likely find the listed hot sauce. Supermarket and Warehouse indicate that you can likely pick it up at a supermarket or your local warehouse club. If it can be ordered online, I include a link, and if it is only available from specialty shops I will indicate this as well. A * following the source indicates that it might only occasionally be available from that source.

Tabasco brand Pepper Sauce

Though often mispelled as Tobasco, it is really Tabasco. They describe it as the orginal heat.. Their classic reaction is rich and flavorful, and it has a name that has become almost synonymous with hot sauce. (add more info on the history). (Supermarket, Warehouse)

Tobasco brand Green Pepper Sauce (Jalapeno)

As they describe it, it is all about the flavor of jalapeno. It is milder than the original Tabasco, rich and tangy, with a gentler heat that wont blow you away. (Supermarket*)

Tabasco Brand garlic Pepper Sauce

This version provides three varieties of heat and garlic. They blended tabasco, red jalapenio, and cayenne pepper with the right touch of fresh Garlic. This one is good for Pizza, pasta and other italian food. (Supermarket*)

Tabasco brand Habanero Sauce

They say is is not for the faint of palate. It has the intensity of habanero pepeprs tempered with papaya, mango, onion, gharlic and other flavors. It is extremely hot. (Supermarket*)

Tabasco Chipolte Pepper Sauce

This sauce is made from smoked jalapeno peppers and is much milder than the other Tabasco sauces. (Supermarket*)

Cholula

This Mexican hot sauce has a little bit more flavor than Tabasco (trditional), and is a little bit less hot. I like to use it on egg dishes and when I want something a little bit more tangy than just hot.
