Snickerdoodle Cookies

Wet ingredients
  1 cup soft butter or oleo
  1 1/2 cups sugar
  2 eggs

Dry Ingredients:
  2 3/4 cups flour
  1 tsp baking soda
  2 tsp cream of tartar
  1/2 tsp salt


  2  Tbsp sugar
  2  tsp  Cinnamon

Mix wet ingredients together thoroughly.

Sift dry ingredients together, then mix with the wet ingredients.

Chill dough until stiff. Roll into balls the size of walnuts. Roll in the coating mixture. Place balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie tin. Bake at 400 F until lightly browned but still soft, about 10 minutes.

Makes 3 dozen
