Bacon, Egg, Vinaigrette

This recipe for a bacon and egg vinaigrette salad dressing is from Barbara Gordon's Grandmother Williams.

1        Whole Beaten Egg
1   TBSP Sugar
1/2 tsp  Mustard
1/2 tsp  Salt
         Pepper to taste
1.5 TBSP Bacon Drippings
1.5 TBSP Vinegar
1   tsp  Water

To one whole beaten egg add 1 heaping TBSP sugar. 1/2 tsp mustard, 1/2 tsp salt, pepper, bacon drippings or butter the size of a walnut, about 1 1/2 TBSP vinegar and 1 tsp water. Stir over low flame until thick. If just yolks are used, add half the water and vinegar.
